Foundation Services (DFS) (Documentum D6/xCP) Component
The Foundation Services (DFS) component is a service-oriented framework and API used to develop Enterprise Content Services and consumers of Enterprise Content Services.
Settings Page
Settings
Web Server Performing Test. The name of the Web server that will perform this Test.
DFS Server. Enter or select the Documentum Foundation Services (DFS) Server for this Test. This should be a server name followed by a port number.
Repository. Enter or select the name of the Repository for this Test. If there are multiple servers for a repository, you can be specific about the server you want to connect to.
- Requesting a server on a specific host: To connect to a Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository@host_name.
- Requesting a server by name on a specific host: To connect to a specific Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository.documentum_server_name@host_name.
Login Information
Domain. (Optional) The name of the domain to use for the credentials.
User Name. The name to use for the credentials.
Password. The password to use for the credentials.
Confirm Password. Re-enter the password for confirmation.
Foundation Service Page
Choose the Foundation Service you want to work with. The choices are:
- Object Service. Test Document Management Functions.
- Query Service. Test Documentum Query Language (DQL) Function.
- Schema Service. Test Documentum Repository Schema Function.
- Search Service. Test Documentum Search Function.
- Version Control Service. Test Documentum Management Function.
- Workflow Service. Test Workflow Function.
Click Execute.
Test Definition Page
Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.
Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.
Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. Limited to 255 characters.
In the Select Response pane, select the text you want to test for. (In other words, the code/text that must be present in a successful Test.) This defines the Expected Response on the next page.
Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Timeout value if needed. Click Next.
Next Steps Page
Choose to add another Test or end the Foundation Services Wizard.
