Permissions Manager Domain Groups
The Domain Groups tab of the Permissions Manager lists the fully qualified domain groups that are used when looking up permissions for domain accounts. These names are automatically added and removed whenever a domain group is granted or denied access in the Permissions Manager.
Note: If any domain groups are listed on the Domain Groups tab, only those groups will be used when searching for group membership. No other domain groups will be searched. This can dramatically speed up account look up, especially in complex domain environments, but also has the potential of causing permission errors is you do not specify the correct domain groups.
To view domain groups, display the Permissions Manager by clicking Permissions Manager on the toolbar, and then click the Domain Groups tab.
To add a group, double-click in a cell of a blank row and type the group information. Names should be defined in the following format: domain.root.net\GroupName
To edit a group, double-click the cell and make your changes.
To remove a group, click the left-most cell in the group row and press the Delete key.
To remove all the group rows, click the top left cell and press the Delete key.
