Configuring General Server Options
The general configuration options for the Local Monitor Server enable you to:
- View the location of all Reveille Admin console and Reveille Web interface directories and logs.
- Specify the name of the command file or executable file that is executed by the Monitor Service during startup.
- Set the option to monitor the local Web server.
To configure the general server options for the Local Monitor Server:
- From the Left Navigational Pane, select the Local Monitor Server. The Local Monitor Server configuration options are displayed on the Right Configuration Pane with the General tab already selected.
- Complete the following under the General tab:

Install Paths |
Displays the install paths for Reveille. |
Program Directory |
(Read-Only) Specifies the location of the Reveille Server executables. |
Web Directory |
(Read-Only) Specifies the location of the Reveille Web interface. |
Web Virtual Directory |
(Read-Only) Specifies the virtual directory for the Reveille Web interface. |
Startup |
Specifies a command file or executable file executed by the Monitor Service during startup. |
Command File or Executable File |
Specify the path of the command file or executable file the Monitor Service executes during startup. Click Browse to locate the file on your computer or network. |
Timeout |
Specify the maximum amount of time (in minutes) the Monitor Service should wait for the optional startup command or executable file to complete. |
Web Server |
Monitors the local Web Server. When a Web server fails, all of its Monitors are suspended, and an alert e-mail is sent to the person set as the recipient of all application error notifications. |
Server Address |
Specify the local Server address. You can specify an address. For example: localhost You can specify and address and port. For example: localhost:1133 |
Web Server SSL | Enable to use SSL for all local server URLs. This will automatically update URLs for the local server to use SSL (https) for ReveilleTests and ReveilleProactive virtual paths. To enable SSL access for the Reveille Web interface, see the SSL Enablement section of the readme.txt file for detailed instructions. |
Monitor Web Server |
Select the check box to set the option of monitoring the local Web Server. |
Timeout |
Specify the number of minutes before the monitoring process is terminated. |
Other |
Monitors the user inactivity time for the Reveille Admin console. The Reveille Admin console will close if the inactivity period exceeds the specified timeout value. Also defines the maximum number of running Monitors. |

Select the check box to enable the option for Idle Timeout. |
TimeOut |
Specify the number of minutes before the Reveille Admin console is closed from inactivity.

Maximum Running Monitors |
Specify the maximum number of Monitors allowed to be running at one time.

Note: If you change any of the configuration options, you are asked to Save when you select another component on the Left Navigational Pane.
