Adding Employees
The Reveille User Console enables you to add employees. Employees are added when you want to add to your notification system. Essentially, it's a method of identifying personnel to be notified.
To add a new employee:
- Click Administration > Employees in the Left Navigation Pane. The Employee Administration page appears.
- Click Add New Employee. The Add a New Employee page appears.
- Enter the following information about the new employee:
- Click Save. The On-Call System page appears with the message Employee Added at the top of the page.
- Click Close. You are returned to the Employee Administration page.
Employee Name. Enter the name of the employee.
Employee ID. Enter the ID of the employee.
Email Address. Enter the employee's e-mail address. (Requires SMTP service.)
Email Priority. Select Normal, Low or High.
Work Phone Number. (Optional) Enter the employee's work telephone number.
Home Phone Number. (Optional) Enter the employee's home telephone number.
Cell Phone Number. (Optional) Enter the employee's mobile telephone number.
SMS Email Address. (Optional) Enter the employee's SMS e-mail address.
Notification Method. Select the method used to notify the employee.
Device PIN Number / Alert Address. Enter the employee's device PIN number or e-mail address to send alerts. The PIN number may or may not be the phone number of the device.
Note: Depending on which paging provider you use, you may need to complete different pager fields. For example, some pagers require that you enter both the pager PIN number and the modem number.
Suppress New Notification Interval. Enter the number of minutes that must elapse between pages from the same Monitor.
Notify When Available. If not selected, the individual is not notified when the Monitor becomes available. When selected, the individual is notified when the Monitor becomes available after the appropriate number of minutes have elapsed.
Notify On Warning. Notify when test status changes to Warning. Default is enabled.
Notify On Bad. Notify when test status changes to Bad. Default is enabled.
Notify On Severity 4. Notify when test status changes to Severity 4. Default is enabled.
Notify On Severity 3. Notify when test status changes to Severity 3. Default is enabled.
Notify On Severity 2. Notify when test status changes to Severity 2. Default is enabled.
Notify On Severity 1. Notify when test status changes to Severity 1. Default is enabled.
Custom Fields 1 – 5. (Optional) Used for passing additional information to notification providers. If you have licensed additional system management connectors (such as for Tivoli, OpenView, or UniCenter) these fields are used to pass environment specific parameters.
