Adding a New Schedule (for a Monitor, Resource, or Test)
You can add a new Monitor, Resource, or Test schedule. A Test schedule can be predefined and is set at the Monitor or Resource level. Before adding an exception-based schedule, you must have added a working Monitor, Test, or Resource schedule.
- Click Administration > Schedules in the Left Navigation Pane. The Schedule Administration page displays, and includes the following:
- Add New Schedule. Opens the New Schedule page, which enables you to add a new Monitor, Resource, or Test schedule.
- Schedule Assignments. Opens the Schedule Assignments page, which enables you to assign a default Monitor schedule or assign schedules to Monitors, Resources, or Tests.
- Enabled. If selected, the schedule is enabled.
View. Opens the View Schedule page for the selected schedule.
Edit. Opens the Edit Schedule page, which enables you to edit the settings for a selected schedule.
Delete Enables you to delete a selected schedule.
- Schedule. Specifies the schedule name.
- Description. Describes the selected schedule.
- Click Add New
Schedule. The New Schedule page displays. Complete the following:
- Schedule Name. Enter a name for the schedule.
- Description. Enter a description for the schedule.
- Exception. If selected, you do not want the schedule to run
on the dates and times specified. For example, if you do not want your schedule to run during corporate
holidays, you would select Exception and enter the corporate holidays.
Important: Before adding an exception-based schedule, you must have added a working monitor, test, or resource schedule. - All Day. If selected, your schedule will run 24 hours.
- Start Time / End Time. Select the time you want your schedule to start and stop running.
- Weekly If selected, you are able to select the days of the week you want your schedule to run.
- Monthly. If selected, you are able to select the Day of the month, Weekday of the month, or Last day of the month you want your schedule to run.
- Yearly. If selected, you are able to select the Day of the month or Weekday of the month.
- Expires. If selected, you are able to define a date on which the schedule will expire.
- After configuring a schedule, click Add to List. A message stating Schedule Definition Added to List displays.
- Click Save. A message stating that the schedule has been added displays at the top of the page and the newly added schedule is added to the Schedule Administration page.
